Biography

John Hindle is a professional speaker, entrepreneur, and award-winning author. He has a passion for life that is contagious and invigorating. He grew up in Winnipeg, Canada, where he developed a tremendous love of sports. His lifetime involvement with amateur sports as a participant, coach, and administrator helped shape his values and provided an important focus in his life. It also led to his induction into the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame in 2004.

John has had considerable success in business and currently serves on various boards of directors. Some years ago, he started a little sporting goods business in the garage of his home selling top quality baseball equipment. The company prospered and evolved into Home Run Sports – one of the largest independent sporting goods stores in the country. Through Home Run Sports, John was responsible for bringing unique products to the Canadian market, including BlastBall. This introductory level game has served to promote and foster baseball and softball throughout the country.

John was the original General Manager of the Winnipeg Goldeyes Professional Baseball Club. During his tenure with the Goldeyes, the team made the play-offs all eight years, set numerous attendance records, and John was twice named Northern League General Manager of the Year. All of this happened at a time when professional baseball teams were disappearing from the Canadian landscape. John's passion for the job was obvious to everyone who met him and his hands-on approach won him the respect of his colleagues and the Goldeyes' many supporters.

After leaving the Goldeyes, John took a position as the General Manager of the Sioux Falls Canaries Baseball Club in South Dakota, a position he held for one year. That powerful learning experience gave him a broad perspective on different professional sports operations and a unique understanding of business on both sides of the border.
